The team’s&nbsp;strategy is to build a strong premium Card business differentiated by Membership, which is brought to life by connecting our Card Members to what they love.&nbsp;How will you make an impact in this role?The Summer Intern for Control Management will play a key supporting role across multiple teams within Control Management, gaining hands-on experience in governance, risk identification, assessment, testing &amp; reporting, issues management, and process risk reduction.This generalist position offers an outstanding opportunity to work closely with various teams and contribute to the organization’s overall operational risk management objectivesResponsibilities Include:<ul><li>Assist in implementing operational risk management plans within US Consumer Services, including supervising issues with Key Risk Indicator (KRI) limits and supporting the integration of regulatory changes into governance frameworks.</li><li>Help identify operational risks within business processes and systems and assist in facilitating risk assessments and testing programs to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.</li><li>Support the investigation and root cause analysis of recurring issues within US Consumer Services, aiding in effective remediation and prevention of future risks.</li><li>Track progress, validate resolution efficacy, and communicate status updates to stakeholders throughout the issue remediation process.</li><li>Help maintain risk dashboards, monitor key risk indicators (KRIs), and assist in compiling thematic risk reports to provide actionable insights on emerging trends and systemic risks.</li><li>Categorizing controls and mapping them against risks and processes to improve risk management practices within the organization.</li><li>Help conduct root cause analyses to identify process vulnerabilities and document control design effectiveness.</li><li>Monitor the implementation of process changes to ensure they optimally reduce risk and align with the organization’s risk appetite.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Currently enrolled in a master’s program in Finance, Economics, Business, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.</li><li>Students must have a graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team-oriented, matrix organization.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>A keen interest in operational risk management, governance, issues management, and process risk reduction.</li><li>Familiarity with financial services or related industries is advantageous but not required.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis tools is a plus.</li><li>Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team</li></ul>ORMCMOur team will review completed applications on a rolling basis.
