<h4>Summary of Position</h4><p>The VP, Business &amp; Legal Affairs for Distribution and Content Acquisitions is an accomplished, highly-skilled and strategically-focused attorney with extensive experience providing legal counsel throughout the ecosystem of licensing, marketing and sales of media content across multiple distribution platforms.</p><h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Negotiate, draft, interpret, administer and manage content acquisitions from studios for use on all STARZ premium video product via all distribution platforms</li><li>Negotiate, draft, interpret, administer and manage affiliate distribution licenses for all STARZ premium video product via all distribution platforms, including traditional (cable, satellite and telco), broadband and all other forms of new media platforms</li><li>Negotiate, draft, interpret, administer and manage agency partnerships for offering the STARZ direct-to-consumer Internet application</li><li>Support all marketing initiatives for distribution ecosystem</li><li>Coordinate regulatory compliance of the STARZ premium video product</li><li>Coordinate with and support the Senior Executive Team and strategic corporate initiatives</li><li>Manage outside counsel, as appropriate</li></ul><h4>Qualifications and Skills</h4><ul><li>Juris Doctor degree</li><li>Admitted to the State Bar of New York</li><li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a major, reputable law firm focused on IP/transactional practice areas</li><li>Minimum of 6 years’ experience providing content-related legal counsel for major television networks, studios and/or media distribution companies in the United States</li><li>Superior drafting skills</li><li>Expert understanding of various distribution architectures and the applicable rights distinctions</li><li>Mastery of copyright laws and licensing</li><li>Experience analyzing, reviewing and approving marketing material</li><li>Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure against deadlines</li><li>Highly motivated, extremely detail-oriented, organized and able to work independently</li></ul><h4>About STARZ</h4><p>STARZ (<a href="http://www.starz.com" target="_blank">www.starz.com</a>), a Lionsgate company, is a leading media streaming platform committed to delivering premium content that amplifies narratives by, about and for women and underrepresented audiences. This position will coordinate with all departments to ensure on time delivery metrics are met. This candidate will have a strong background in exceptional communication skills, very well organized and a great understanding of planning and scheduling methodologies.</p><p>Essential functions:</p><ul><li>Conduct daily shortage and customer service meetings.</li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, procurement, engineering, product management, and sales, to gather necessary information for scheduling decisions.</li><li>Provide spacing requirements to the customer service team for container shipments. Schedule container load dates and times. Build load sheets for container shipments.</li><li>Validate weights and dimensions for flatbed shipments. Provide potential items that may need to be removed to avoid trucking issues. Provide load plans for oversized systems.</li><li>Provide weights and dimensions for freight and UPS orders as requested. Collaborate with the Aftermarket team to schedule Full truck and Distribution Center shipments.</li><li>Assist inventory control with cycle counting plans to ensure we complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly counting requirements.</li><li>Assist value stream manager and leads with KPI data for the daily management boards.</li><li>Review daily back orders to identify root cause as well as providing best shipping methods when material is available.</li><li>Conduct daily load audits to ensure quality expectations are met before shipments leave the facility.</li><li>Identify potential bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and risks in the production process and proactively propose solutions to mitigate them.</li><li>Be able to read, write and communicate in English</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED, required.&nbsp; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field, preferred but not required.</li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Master Scheduler or in a similar role within an industrial manufacturing environment.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of production planning and scheduling methodologies, as well as familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.</li><li>Proficiency in using advanced scheduling software and ERP systems.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.</li><li>Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior team members.</li><li>Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges.</li><li>Certification in production planning or supply chain management is a plus.</li><li>Continuous improvement (LEAN) understanding to look for the following in cost savings is a plus.</li><li>Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)</li><li>Be able to read, write and communicate in English</li></ul><p>Benefits of Working at Lindsay:</p><ul><li>Health, Dental, Vision Insurance beginning the first of the month following your start date.</li><li>Company paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability effective first of the month following start date.</li><li>Voluntary Life, Accident, Long Term Disability, and Critical Illness plans available.</li><li>401(k) retirement plan – company match $0.50 on the dollar up to 6%, five-year vesting.</li><li>Accrued PTO up to 15 days per year.
