Foundation Fiscal Officer
The University of Southern Indiana is accepting applications for Foundation Fiscal Officer.
The Foundation Fiscal Officer is responsible for the fiscal management of the University of Southern Indiana Foundation and Southern Indiana Higher Education Holdings, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Foundation.
Duties/Responsibilities
Direct the Foundation’s financial control systems, safeguard organizational assets, and ensure accurate and reliable financial records and reports in accordance with fiscal policy of the Foundation, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) accounting and auditing standards, and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) standards.
Direct, coordinate, and administer functions of the Foundation Accounting staff to support the basic mission of the Foundation and ensure quality of the accounting functions and adherence to GAAP and FASB standards.
Provide accounting leadership, guidance, and assistance to the Vice President for Development, Director of University Development, and the Development Office staff to ensure quality of the accounting functions and adherence to GAAP and FASB standards.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Five (5) years supervisory not-for-profit accounting experience with demonstrated leadership and progressive managerial growth in responsibilities. Seven (7) years supervisory accounting experience will be accepted in lieu of supervisory not-for-profit accounting experience.
