We are looking for an experienced Team Lead who is passionate about ensuring a peerless customer experience and supporting our team on their road to greatness. Join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to help design, build and roll-out products that deliver the AutoNation vision and strategy.  

The perfect person for the job is excited to move fast, think at scale, and takes a customer centric approach to all they do. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year leadership experience in the automotive industry or similar, able to communicate efficiently and in a timely manner with a strong attention to detail. This individual would be responsible for leading team huddles, holding regular weekly 1:1s with staff, and representing the team.

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Lead and manage the dispatch team, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Provide guidance, support, and training to dispatch team members to enhance performance and skill development.

  • Monitor team performance, set goals, and conduct regular 1:1s.

Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Oversee the creation and management of weekly regional dispatch schedules.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the dispatch team and other departments, ensuring clear and effective communication.

  • Facilitate regular team huddles to discuss updates, challenges, and improvements in the dispatch process.

  • Communicate effectively with customers and technicians to ensure service expectations are met.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement within dispatch operations and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the dispatch team to ensure consistency and quality.

  • Analyze dispatch data and metrics to make informed decisions and optimize team performance.

Problem Solving and Decision Making:

  • Address and resolve operational challenges, including last-minute changes, emergencies, and customer complaints.

  • Make real-time decisions to adjust dispatch plans based on changing circumstances or priorities.

  • Escalate issues to higher management when necessary and collaborate on solutions.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations within the dispatch team.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on dispatch activities, team performance, and operational metrics.

  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatch operations, including schedules, communications, and incident reports
