We are looking for an experienced Team Lead who is passionate about ensuring a peerless customer experience and supporting our team on their road to greatness. Join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to help design, build and roll-out products that deliver the AutoNation vision and strategy.
The perfect person for the job is excited to move fast, think at scale, and takes a customer centric approach to all they do. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year leadership experience in the automotive industry or similar, able to communicate efficiently and in a timely manner with a strong attention to detail. This individual would be responsible for leading team huddles, holding regular weekly 1:1s with staff, and representing the team.
Leadership and Supervision:
Lead and manage the dispatch team, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Provide guidance, support, and training to dispatch team members to enhance performance and skill development.
Monitor team performance, set goals, and conduct regular 1:1s.
Scheduling and Coordination:
Oversee the creation and management of weekly regional dispatch schedules.
Communication and Collaboration:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the dispatch team and other departments, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Facilitate regular team huddles to discuss updates, challenges, and improvements in the dispatch process.
Communicate effectively with customers and technicians to ensure service expectations are met.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement within dispatch operations and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the dispatch team to ensure consistency and quality.
Analyze dispatch data and metrics to make informed decisions and optimize team performance.
Problem Solving and Decision Making:
Address and resolve operational challenges, including last-minute changes, emergencies, and customer complaints.
Make real-time decisions to adjust dispatch plans based on changing circumstances or priorities.
Escalate issues to higher management when necessary and collaborate on solutions.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations within the dispatch team.
Prepare and submit regular reports on dispatch activities, team performance, and operational metrics.
Maintain accurate records of all dispatch operations, including schedules, communications, and incident reports
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager
