Assistant Comptroller

Jefferson Community College is seeking an Assistant Comptroller. This position assists the Comptroller in performing the administrative functions associated with the daily routine of the Financial Operations Department. The Assistant Comptroller assists with the administration and management of cash deposits and reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant and contract accounting, capital asset management, payroll, Foundation accounting, and supervision of departmental staff. The Assistant Comptroller will work closely with the College's leadership to advance the mission of the Strategic Plan 2020-2025.

Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field and six (6) years of appropriate professional experience or master’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field and four (4) years of appropriate professional experience.

Advertised Salary:  $55,000 - $65,000/year for well-qualified individuals. Salary is determined based upon experience and education in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement as well as internal equity. The College offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, long-term disability, generous leave policies, paid holidays, pre-tax flexible spending accounts, tax-deferred Compensation, NYS retirement, as well as employee and dependent tuition waivers. The successful candidate may also qualify for public service loan forgiveness.
